— Stakeholder Meeting WP5 Sentinel Surveillance in Berlin, Nov 2011

On November 18 2011 Robert Koch-Institut (RKI) organised and hosted the stakeholder meeting at the Kaiserin Friedrich-Haus in Berlin. The aim of this meeting was to present the first results from the STI-Sentinel surveillance in the four participating countries Austria, Bulgaria, Romania and Slovak Republic. Robert Koch-Institute (RKI), as the central federal institution responsible for disease control and prevention in Germany, provided scientific support throughout the project and is now responsible for distribution of the results. Therefore experts from all participating countries were invited in order to discuss the results and outline possible difficulties and options for improvement. For international perspectives and possible options for guidance and cooperation, WHO and ECDC were invited. 14 experts from 5 countries took part.
